We didn't manage to attend many Festival events this year as we were both missing for the Streets of Brighton weekend which tends to be our favourite for weird and wacky stuff. However, we found ourselves with nothing much on yesterday and thought we'd head off down to the Marina for the Big Splash finale.
We wandered from Brighton and discovered work underway on another Sand Sculpture Festival - starting on the 1st June - this year seems to be Roman based.
We then wandered into a pretty packed marina, and marvelled at the queues at all the restaurants and bars. We tried to stop off at the Black and White cocktail bar in Hotel Seattle but were unlucky as they'd closed it to all but hotel visitors. Instead we pottered around and discovered the fire breathing horse and stood and watched the performance for a while before heading off to watch the somewhat dissapointing fireworks. Still, at least we did something for the festival!
